Over the last few weeks we’ve been extremely busy at Be An Athlete HQ, giving the premium sportswear brand a bit of a workout itself. In the lead up to some very exciting announcements, we thought we’d give you a sneak peak of what to expect with ‘behind the scenes’ access to two of the photoshoots we’ve been involved in.
First up was our rooftop yoga shoot. We wanted to celebrate the roots of Be An Athlete by capturing some of the London skyline; considering both the Shard and the Gherkin can be seen in the backdrop of some of the shots, it’s safe to say we achieved this. These particular buildings, not only instantly recognisable and world renowned, also allude to the contemporary spirit of the brand, as well the concept of both achievement and greatness.
Despite waiting to arrange the shoot until October, we were blessed with a crystal clear, blue sky, which ensured our new Pastel Collection looked its vibrant best. As you can see in the example photo, the Be An Athlete Sunkist Coral coral shorts and vest absolutely sizzled on the day.
One of the most popular benefits of the Be An Athlete sportswear is the couture fit, which has been designed to accentuate the natural shape of your body. This sounds all well and good on paper, but we thought it was time to put our money where our mouth is, by showing how every item on our site looks when worn.
As well as making each hoodie, vest top and t-shirt clearly visible, by shooting it in a more classically arranged pose (shoulders square, legs apart, gazing pensively away from the camera – you know the sort) we also let our models, Maeve and David, do something completely spontaneous in every outfit as well. Expect pirouettes, scissor jumps, and even a few superman-inspired moves, too.

As the BAA initials suggest, our range of fitness inspired clothing is for ‘before and after’ your workout, so we also wanted to show how Be An Athlete can be worn in a more fashion orientated style. With the help of some gorgeous pieces of jewellery, courtesy of Apache Rose London, we added a contemporary 'sports luxe' twist to our garments. In the picture above, we paired the Holst and Lee Herringbone Necklace with the Be An Athlete Premium Hoody and Cropped Leggings, and the result looked great.
