The Only 3 Tennis Rackets You Need This Wimbledon

lady-playing-tennis

It’s that time of year again. Wimbledon is literally around the corner, and with it, one can expect those same people who flocked to the gym back in January and maybe February, to suddenly start overcrowding courts across the country. To set you apart from the whimsically Wimbledon, we’ve shared three of the most serious tennis rackets around, no strings attached (figuratively speaking, of course!).

Head Graphene XT Speed Pro

The fact that this racket sports the frame favoured by Novak Djokovic, the World No 1 (and therefore, by default, the greatest tennis player currently alive!), should be enough in itself to convince you of this racket's worth. But for those less easily sold, the racket arranges the majority of its weight towards the section that makes contact with the ball, making for a more powerful hit, while the handle counterbalances this calibration to ensure it remains balanced and easy to swing.

The dense string pattern provides an accurate shot, and while the incredible light graphene construction (a metal with a breaking strength 200 times stronger than steel), will be appreciated by players of either an intermediate or advanced proficiency, beginners might struggle to control it.

Prince Textreme Warrior 107T

If a racket dubbed ‘warrior’ hasn’t already got you hammering the name into Google, then you might be interested to know that this latest offering from Prince (not the artist formerly known as...) is crafted from Textreme; a carbon-fibre material, previously used in Formula One cars and racing bikes but never before in Tennis, designed to remain light while providing additional strength and support. Great colour combination, too - for whatever reason, something about the black and red really speaks to us...

Babolat Play

Whatever you buy these days, there seems to be the option of buying an alternative version of said product with the term ‘smart’ preceding it. Whether that's fridge freezers, water bottles, or even plant pots (yes....plant plots), it was inevitable that tennis rackets would sooner or later get the IQ treatment. Luckily, this offering is less gimmicky, and more functional, which isn’t a surprise considering it’s Rafael Nadal’s weapon of choice.

The Babolat Play has an integrated sensor in the handle, which records every aspect of your game, including a breakdown of your style, details of how and where your skillset’s improving, and notifications to let you know if and when you beat a personal best. These details are then sent to your smart phone, through the use of the Babolat app, and it even adds a social element to the game, whereby you can compare your performance to other members of the Babolat online community - just don't expect to knock Nadal off his perch just yet....

Let us know below what you make of the three tennis rackets above; have we aced it, or are we talking a load of ol' balls? Whatever the verdict, one thing we know for certain is that the new Be An Athlete headwear range will not only have you looking like a pro on court, but feeling like one, too!

  3. The way that this racket brandishes the casing favored by Novak Djokovic, the World No 1 (and accordingly, naturally, the best tennis player right now alive!), ought to be sufficient in itself to persuade you regarding this current racket's worth. In any case, for those less effortlessly sold, the racket organizes the dominant part of its weight towards the area that reaches the ball, making for an all the more intense hit, while the handle balances alignment to guarantee it stays adjusted and simple to swing.
